Why is he trying to sabotage my success?

He did a degree program, I did a non degree program for 2 years and went to college for 2.5 years. I didn't get a degree but I went to school for a long time. Well I finished my last project and now I'm looking for another IT job. I'm a professional and my boyfriend considers himself inferior to me. I know software he doesn't even know and he asks me for help with code often. Well every time a good job offer comes along he puts me down and saids because I hadn't used a particular skill lately I probably lost it. Well when I was trying to do my class he kept saying look for work and do your class later. I told him I looked for work 4 hours now I can do my class and he would always make excuses to keep me from doing it. Now he is saying I probably lost my skills. Why is he trying to sabotage my success?
